Today I’m sharing a cute Valentine’s card idea that is really easy to make.
- Cut a piece of cardstock to be slightly smaller than your finished card size. Trace half of a heart onto the folded side of your cardstock. I used a metal die and traced around the outside of the die (you’ll see why later).
2. Draw a small, vertical line on the outside edge of the heart (make sure it is parallel to fold of card).
3. Score the vertical line and cut out the other parts of the heart shape.
4. Fold your card and make sure the center of the fold is coming towards you. Attach this piece to the inside of your card.
5. Cut out another heart using the same die from step 1. Score it down the center and glue it to the heart cutout.
6. Design the front of your card and ta-da, you’ve got an adorable card that is sure to be remembered.

Love the idea of the pop up heart Michelle, a cute surprise for the recipient. The front of your card is equally effective and a great addition to the Color Hues gallery. 🙂
Thank you so much! I appreciate that!
Your valentine is just wonderful! I like the selected red hearts on the front panel, and your surprise on the inside is fabulous! Your photo directions are also great. Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues!
