Hello crafty friends! Today’s card has a lot going on! It’s definitely busier than most of the cards I make but I really love how it all came together, so I decided to share.

The Inspiration:
I was inspired by the new stamp set from Pajama Crafter Stamps Weinerful Christmas Stamps. You know I cannot pass up a good pun when I see one and this set has ’em!

The Process:
I started by stamping the dachshund and sentiment. I fussy cut, then colored the image with Copic markers.
Next, I grabbed my background paper and started playing around with different layouts. I felt the dog was getting swallowed up by the background and the card needed something else.
This is when I started looking through my stash for another sentiment but nothing seemed to be the right fit. I started thinking that I wanted to rhyme the sentiment with Ho Ho Ho but didn’t have a die large enough.

Fast forward through a few uninspired moments until I came across my Dang, Whoa, Yikes die set…
The Solution:
I figured out that I could just die cut the WHOA and cut off the W and A! 💡💡💡 Problem solved!
Because the word die had a shadow die I decided to also cut one to be the background for the dog and sentiment as well.
It was at this point, that I decided my card needed that last finishing touch to bring everything together…. snow! I heat embossed Sparkling Snow embossing powder and glued it all together.

As always, thank you for taking the time to visit my little crafty corner of the web.
I hope this will inspire you to take another look at some of your supplies! Happy Crafting!
