Ok, sing this classic Christmas song with me… Here comes San-ta Claus, Here comes San-ta Claus. Great. Now, let’s change the lyrics a bit… Here comes Am-a-zon, Here comes Am-a-zon. This became my very first wrapping paper design and still one of the most popular.
This year, I decided I wanted to create a greeting card so I started searching for the perfect supplies.
I found these faux 3D boxes by Mama Elephant and then began to search for the perfect cardstock color. Concord & 9th to the rescue with their wheat cardstock and ink bundle.
I used the ink for the shading on the box to enhance the 3d look and drew the little Amazon smile using a Tombow MONO Drawing Pen #3.
I wanted to add some color to the card so I grabbed my Waffle Flower Christmas Stripes pad.
I actually purchased this pad last year and was very excited to finally be able to use it. (I was thrilled to see this was still available this year so I actually purchased two more!)
Finally, I looked up the sheet music for Here comes Santa Claus and drew the notes at the top of my card.
(I can’t read the music to verify but hopefully Google was correct!)
