VALENTINE TREAT BOXES

I’ve missed those days in elementary school when you exchanged valentines. It was such a fun way to show appreciation and friendship with your classmates.

I decided to make some Valentine’s treat boxes for my coworkers this year. The Sweethearts Box Wafer Dies from
@simonsaysstamp was a great purchase, and one i know I will use for years to come.

  • I cut out a test box to practice folding it. Then I cut out a bunch of boxes with heart cutouts on the front.
  • Once I was happy with the pattern, I started stamping my boxes. (The Misti sure makes mass producing easy breezy!)
  • I used my Metallic Watercolors and Water Brush to add some shimmer to some of the hearts and add the splatter.

  • Next, I cut small little pieces of acetate sheets and glued to the backside of the heart cut-out.
  • For the sentiments, I stamped some Valentine Mini Strips on black cardstock with white embossing and glued them across the acetate opening.
  • I folded all the boxes and now I’m off to buy some candy. Just for the boxes, of course. 😉

Just over here trying to spread a little sunshine one card at a time. I'm fueled by Dr. Pepper, sarcasm and especially puns. I hope my cards bring others even a portion of the joy that I feel creating them. #cre8yoursunshine☀️
