Hi Friends! Yep, it’s that time of year again! I’m knee-deep in boxes that need to be wrapped, and honestly, my crafting space is a mess but I had to take a break to design a card for this week’s sketch challenge.
Before I get into the details I have a joke that I just have to share with you: What makes me jolly? When you’re cutting wrapping paper and the scissors go ccsssssssssss and not jkfkzkxkzkjkkczx 😆

I must have Christmas on the brain because for some reason I visualized Santa’s belt when I saw Narelle’s sketch.

I used a layer of Cranberry ink then a light layer of Black Soot to add some depth to my cardstock and give it more of a fabric look.

Next, I heat embossed some gold embossing powder then die-cut my frame and rings for the belt details.

I crinkled up the black cardstock trying to give the belt a worn leather look. I think I need more practice on this technique but this will work for now.
I cut some white glitter cardstock for the bottom of my card and added a thin layer of cotton to it.

I had so much fun bringing my vision to life and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the team came up with!
