Today, I am sharing a card that is loaded with texture and depth but was easy peasy to make.
Starting with colored cardstock actually feels like cheating but it is my go to technique when I am limited on time.
The supplies I used are linked at the bottom of this post

I first die cut the Simon Says Stamp Etched Flower out of Concord & 9th Sweet Pea cardstock then added a little of the matching Sweet Pea ink to the centers and ends of the flowers. I added a little Dragonfruit Ink to add even more dimension.
Next, I added some Black Soot Distress Oxide to the flower centers and finished it off with a little Picket Fence Distress Ink to enhance the highlighted area.
I set the flower aside and embossed my Pajama Crafter Pebbled Beach cardstock using the Crafter’s Companion wood grain embossing folder. To make the texture more pronounced I lightly rubbed some C9 Nutmeg ink using a flat blending brush.
I chose my sentiment, die cut the banner and glued everything together.

Inspiration for my card this week came from the current Freshly Made Sketches design. I have definitely enjoyed my cardmaking much more since I joined the Clean Team. These weekly challenges really take the guesswork out of coming up with designs and allow me to quickly get to the fun part of my crafting.

If you would like to join in on the fun, head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog for all the details and to see tons of inspiration from the Clean Team!

Beautiful card. Love the colors of the flower and the woodgrain panel.
