WHALEY EASY SHAKER CARD

Hi everyone! I’m thrilled to share with you a fun little shaker card I made using the brand-new Rain or Shine release from Simon Says Stamp.

This card features the adorable Get Whale Soon stamp set. I absolutely adore this set! The whales, puns, and fun font for the sentiment all come together to make it a must-have.

Card Details

Here’s a step-by-step guide to creating this card:

1. Shaker Background: I used my waves stencil and blueberry ink to create the shaker background. Next, I blended Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide over it, making it a little darker towards the bottom.

2. Card Front: I cut a sheet of Sea Foam cardstock down to A2 size 4.25 x 5.5 and then used a rectangular die to cut out the center. Next, I stamped fish, in a random pattern, using my Misti because I thought the front was a little too plain.

3. Shaker Area: I used a slightly larger rectangle to cut out the center of one of the A2 fun foam sheets.

This was the easiest shaker card I’ve ever made thanks to the A2 fun foam sheets

5. Whales and Fish: I stamped my whales and fish and colored them with my Copic markers, then fussy cut them out.

7. Sentiment and Wavy Background: I stamped my sentiment, then created the wavy background using my largest wavy border die.

8. Assembly: I glued my wavy stencil background to the cardbase, glued the foam down, and added the little fish to the background.

9. Embellishments: I sprinkled my embellishment mix into the center of my foam and then covered it using a piece of clear acetate.

10. Final Touches: I attached my front layer and added the whales to add more depth.

I hope you love this card as much as I do! Stay tuned for more creations using this adorable whale set.

Just over here trying to spread a little sunshine one card at a time. I'm fueled by Dr. Pepper, sarcasm and especially puns. I hope my cards bring others even a portion of the joy that I feel creating them. #cre8yoursunshine☀️
