A WINDOW TO SERENITY

Hey there! I’m super excited to share how I created this serene card featuring the Sea You Soon stamp set. It’s all about capturing that peaceful vibe, and I hope you love it as much as I do!

Links to all of the supplies I used to make this project are below.

Here’s a rundown of the project:

  • Card base: I started with a 5″ x 7″ (A7) card base and stamped the image on the front, adding color with Copic markers. I made sure to leave some open space at the bottom for the sentiment.
  • Card panel: Next, I cut a piece of white cardstock to 4.75″ x 6.75″ and used a rectangular A2 die just slightly smaller than the window frame.
  • Window: The window die was cut from woodgrain paper, and I added some shading with Copics. Then, I cut a piece of clear acetate to fit behind the window frame, attaching it with thin strips of tape.
  • Sentiment: I used the “You are Loved” sentiment from the Concord & 9th Checking In Bundle (though it’s currently sold out – there are plenty of other options to choose from!).
  • Assembly: To add dimension, I used foam strips on the back of the window panel before attaching it to the card base.

The one thing I had to be careful about was keeping fingerprints off the acetate – other than that, it was a pretty straightforward project!  The stamp and window die really did most of the work.

With the right sentiment, this card can work for any occassion. I hope you enjoy making it as much as I did!

Thank you for visiting and happy crafting!

Just over here trying to spread a little sunshine one card at a time. I'm fueled by Dr. Pepper, sarcasm and especially puns. I hope my cards bring others even a portion of the joy that I feel creating them. #cre8yoursunshine☀️
