Dusting off the Creative Cobwebs: Freshly Made Sketches #720

Post-holiday slump getting you down? I’m right there with you! After weeks of non-stop card-making, I’m struggling to get back into a routine. My go-to cure? Sketch challenges! They help shake off the creative cobwebs and get me excited to craft again. If you’re feeling stuck, I highly recommend giving sketch challenges a try – they’re a great way to spark new ideas and get your card-making mojo back on track!

Today I am sharing the design I created using this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Design sketch featuring two overlapping circles in teal and pink, a rectangular area labeled 'SENTIMENT,' and a gray background.

When I first saw this sketch I knew I wanted to use my new Pink and Main stamp set: Chocolate Love. I am a sucker for a good pun and this set has puns AND adorable little chocolates!

The little overlapping circles in the sketch were the perfect backdrop to be able to use a few of them. (There was no way I was going to be able to pick just one!)

A colorful greeting card featuring cute chocolate illustrations, including a chocolate with wings, a chocolate in a cupcake holder, and a chocolate with a rose. The text says 'I Love You a Choco-lat' on a blue background.

CONFESSION TIME

I have always been a Copic marker girl but I recently purchased the Portrait 8pc Brush Set from OLO marker and I loooooooove these things! I was blown away by their blending ability and I kept layering and layering and they never damaged my cardstock at all! Just wow!

A playful illustration featuring chocolate-themed characters, including a smiling chocolate roll with a bow and arrow, surrounded by hearts and the text 'I Love You a Choco-lat' on a blue background.

All of the products I used are linked at the bottom of this post.

It was a delight to bring this sketch to life with my adorable chocolate friends! If you’re looking for a fun and creative challenge, join me and play along! Share your own take on this week’s sketch and don’t forget to add a dash of humor – I love seeing how others interpret the same sketch in their own unique way. Happy crafting, and I can’t wait to see what you create!

Just over here trying to spread a little sunshine one card at a time. I'm fueled by Dr. Pepper, sarcasm and especially puns. I hope my cards bring others even a portion of the joy that I feel creating them. #cre8yoursunshine☀️
