Get ready for some Easter cuties! When I started this card, I imagined the bunnies proudly holding up a ‘Happy Easter’ sign. But as it came to life, it looked more like two were shyly peeking out from behind the sentiment! Either way, the message will be delivered. Let’s hop to the details…
All of the supplies I used are linked at the bottom of this post
I wanted a white sentiment on a pink background so I diecut two sets on my Sizzix Big Shot. One from 100# white cardstock and the other from pink.
I glued the white sentiment onto the pink one using craft glue. I’ve been doubling up a lot lately. I really like the added depth it gives to the sentiment.
Next, I blended a soft pink background on my card front using Distress oxide.
The bunnies were stamped on white 100# cardstock using Memento black ink so it wouldn’t smear when I colored with my alcohol markers.
I hand cut (or fussy cut, as most of us call it) the bunnies. I know most people hate fussy cutting but I actually don’t mind it. Sure, it takes longer but I find it relaxing.
Here are 2 tips for fussy cutting: Let the scissors do the work and rotate the cardstock as you are cutting instead of the scissors! Once I found the Tim Holtz snips it changed my fussy cutting forever.
Still aren’t convinced? It’s okay, Simon Says Stamp now has the diecuts for the bunnies! Bunny Bonanza dies
